Inaugural AAU Pacific Rim Basketball Championships

Inaugural AAU Pacific Rim Basketball Championships

HONOLULU, Hawaii (July 3, 2017) -  The inaugural AAU Pacific Rim Basketball Championships hosted by Jam On It were a success.

Taking place at the Hawai‘i Convention Center on the island of Oahu, 140 basketball teams, comprised of 60 teams from the U.S. mainland or off island, competed on thirteen (13) courts over a three (3) day period for the chance at an AAU title.

Teams traveled from states such as Washington, Arizona, California, Nevada, Virginia and of course Hawaii.  Countries represented were the United States and Japan.

No matter where they called home, all teams were afforded the opportunity to not only play on the courts but to also hit the sand, experiencing the breathtaking scenery and overall majesty of the native Hawaiian culture.

Cheering on the approximately 1,400 players and 280 coaches were 2,600 spectators in the stands.

Sixty (60)
referees officiated the games while forty (40) dedicated AAU tournament staff and volunteers worked countless hours before the event and on-site to provide the very best experience for all teams both on and off the court.

Congrats to all the teams who traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii to take part, compete and play in what is sure to become a staple on the west coast basketball scene. See everyone next year.
