RECAP: 2013 AAU Cross Country National Championship

RECAP: 2013 AAU Cross Country National Championship

Fort Gordon, Georgia – The 2013 AAU Cross Country National Championship brought nearly 1,200 of the country’s best youth athletes to Augusta, Georgia to compete at Fort Gordon on a very friendly spectator course. With overcast weather and not too chilly, the rain held off just enough for the runners to compete without the mud and wet conditions. Twelve races were conducted in this championship with a total of 22 divisions between the boys and girls. With the military background, the color guard and military band kicked off the ceremonies and the event began at the normal 9:00am start time.
